The Homeschool Magazine, published by The South Carolina Homeschool Accountability Association (TSCHAA), showcases the talents of homeschoolers from South Carolina and beyond. Our main goal is to feature the work of homeschool students, but we also welcome articles from homeschooling families. We make a few small edits here and there, but for the most part, we keep the writing just like the students sent it—so you get to see their real voices and grade-level style.
The magazine began as a family project to provide my daughter with hands-on journalism experience and a high school credit. We let her create a student-submitted magazine just for homeschoolers and advertised the opportunity within TSCHAA. Over the years, we have expanded our reach beyond our homeschool association and have also begun accepting articles from homeschool educators.
Our magazine is digital, but we also offer a print edition so families can have a keepsake of their child's publication.
We are thankful for all the homeschoolers who help us create this magazine!
